Editorial Standards

Smart Capital Editorial Policy

This page explains the editorial standards we hold ourselves to for every Smart Capital Blog piece. You deserve to know how an article is built, where its facts come from, and what financial relationships we have with the platforms mentioned.

1. Editorial Mission

Smart Capital Blog provides balanced guides and reviews about copy trading in the forex and crypto markets for Malaysian and Southeast Asian investors. We are not just traffic funnels, we believe informed investors are responsible investors.

Every article is designed to help you understand a concept, platform, or strategy CORRECTLY, including its limitations.

2. Research & Writing Process

Every platform review goes through a 4-step process: (1) signing up and testing the platform hands-on where possible, (2) fact-checking against official sites and regulator documents, (3) cross-referencing user reviews from multiple independent sources, and (4) review by at least 2 team members.

For educational guides, we reference academic material, regulator documentation (e.g. SC Malaysia, FCA, CySEC), and real trading experience.

3. Fact Standards

We use careful language: 'typically', 'may', 'as a guideline'. We do NOT promise specific returns, blanket 'low risk' labels, or 'guaranteed' outcomes.

If a fact cannot be verified from an official source, we will say so or use ranges (e.g. 'approximately USD 10-50').

We refresh platform-review articles at least once per quarter, or sooner when material changes occur.

4. Conflict of Interest & Affiliate Disclosure

Smart Capital is an active copy trading strategy provider on Vantage (and other brokers). When you click 'Copy Smart Capital' on our blog, you are taken to Vantage where our copy trader is set up.

We may also earn affiliate commissions from some brokers/platforms we mention. When that happens, the link will carry 'rel=sponsored' and be labelled 'Visit Platform'.

We do NOT change our editorial verdicts based on commissions. Some platforms we currently review do NOT have an affiliate relationship with us, we still include them to give you a balanced view.

5. What WE ARE NOT

We are NOT licensed financial advisors in Malaysia. Smart Capital is not licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia to provide personal financial advice. Our content is educational and editorial.

Before making any investment decision, you should consult a licensed financial advisor or conduct your own due diligence.

Only invest capital you can afford to lose.

6. Corrections & Feedback

If you spot an incorrect, outdated, or unclear fact in our article, please reach us on Telegram. We will review and update within 48 hours with an update notice at the top of the article.
